Critical to the success of any recruiting assignment for a Director or Trustee is a thorough understanding of the client’s organization.  On each engagement, we work closely with the Governance Committee of the Board and the Chief Executive Officer to understand the strategic direction of the firm, the current composition of the Board, and the specific individual characteristics that will enable the successful candidate to best serve the company.

Prior to executing Board searches, we conduct interviews with existing Board members in order to ascertain the most appropriate qualifications.  Factors we consider when identifying candidates include industry experience (real estate versus other industries), employment status (actively employed or retired), professional experience, qualifications for specific committee assignments, diversity, and personality.
